PRP – Platelet Rich Plasma

The most natural anti-aging treatment, using your own cells to rejuvenate your skin.

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is used for patients whom seek a more natural alternative to facial rejuvenation. It is using your own cells, autologous platelet rich plasma. Platelets release growth factors assisting the body to repair itself by stimulating cells to regenerate new tissue. What the special factor about PRP is the fact that platelets found in your blood are full of growth factors, ready to be re-injected into your concerned areas ready to rejuvenate your skin!

Platelets are easily separated from from blood via the use of a centrifuge, using your own plasma enables the body to heal faster, with no concern of infection as the blood is extracted and applied in the same treatment.

The patient's health is of an utmost importance when having PRP as the treatment is most effective when the patient is well hydrated 48 hours leading up to the procedure, has reduced their fat intake, reduced their alcohol and caffeine intake and stopped the use of all omegas, green teas and any supplements that may increase bruising.

The amazing benefits seen from PRP:

Skin tissue rejuvenation and revitalisation
increasing collagen production
promoting wound healing, used to stimulate your skin cells to release growth factors.

The treatment involves, taking approximately 8ml - 32ml, from the patient. This is then immediately put into and centrifuge for 5minutes. After it has completed, the blood is now separated into three parts: (1) platelet - poor plasma, (2) red blood cells, and (3) what we use, the 'buffy' coat, is the platelets and white blood cells, that have been separated from your red blood cells. The rich platelets are then removed and re-injected into the mid to deep dermis of the skin.
